Hey there! Thanks for using CSGOEmpire. We're glad to see that some people are reading this.
We've tried to keep these Terms as clear and honest as possible. They are still a legal agreement, though, so if anything here isn't clear to you, please contact our support team or take independent advice before you continue.
We genuinely want you to be comfortable when using CSGOEmpire. Being fair towards our customers is incredibly important to us, and we want to show the world how fair we really are. We aim to communicate the rules of CSGOEmpire transparently, and we're not the type of company that would take advantage of you with legal loopholes or hide unfair clauses in the small print.
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are a binding agreement between you ("you", the person who accesses or uses the CSGOEmpire site(s) and services, the "Service") and CSGOEmpire, a brand operated by Moonrail Limited B.V., a company incorporated in Curaçao (company no. 148182) with its registered office at Korporaalweg 10, Curacao, ("CSGOEmpire", "we", "us" or "our"). CSGOEmpire is licensed and regulated by the Curaçao Gaming Authority (CGA) under licence no. OGL/2024/1183/0869. Payments may be processed on our behalf by JHOLT Ltd (Company Registration No. HE393291), Voukourestiou 25, Neptune House, 1st floor, Flat/Office 11, 3045, Limassol, Cyprus.
These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy, our Responsible Gambling Policy, our Bonus/Promotional Terms and our Complaints and Dispute Resolution Policy, each of which forms part of your agreement with us. Where a specific game, market or promotion has its own rules, those rules also apply; if they conflict with these Terms, these Terms take priority unless the specific rules expressly say otherwise.
You accept these Terms when you tick the acceptance box during registration and each time you are asked to re-confirm them. You must not use the Service unless you have read, understood and accepted these Terms.
If you breach these Terms, we may restrict, suspend or close your account.
It is our priority to keep your funds safe. Even where your account is closed, we will let you withdraw your funds, subject only to the limited and clearly defined circumstances described in these Terms (for example, verified fraud or where we are required to act by law or by our regulator). Where appropriate, we may also compensate you for unclaimed referral earnings, rewards or other unrealised balances.
The person who originally creates and registers an account (the "Original Owner") retains ownership of that account. In any dispute about account ownership or access, we will treat the Original Owner as the sole rightful owner, regardless of any purported transfer, sale, gift or other arrangement between users. Accounts are non-transferable. Any user who buys, sells, transfers, gifts, rents or otherwise trades account access, or who advertises or helps others do so, breaches these Terms. Any such transfer is void. Where we identify this conduct we may, acting proportionately, void related transactions, suspend or close the affected account, and withhold funds connected to the conduct pending review.
You must not use bots, scripts or automated systems, or collude with other users, to gain an unfair advantage. We may void any bets or winnings, and suspend or close any account, connected to such conduct.
We accept and pay out using CS2 skins, supported cryptocurrencies and fiat methods. Processing times are set out on our deposit/withdrawal pages.
If you use cryptocurrency, the following also applies. Your balance may be held in cryptocurrency, and any fiat value shown (for example in Coins, USD or EUR) is an indicative estimate only. The value of your balance may rise or fall with the market, that risk is yours, and we accept no liability for loss or reduction in value arising from price movements, exchange rates or conversion.
We are not responsible for losses arising from a wallet you no longer control or cannot access, a deactivated, non-compliant or sanctioned wallet or address, a token that is delisted or that we cease to support, or a blockchain fork or chain level disruption. We do not accept, and may reject, freeze or return, crypto assets that originate from, pass through, or are associated with mixers, tumblers, sanctioned addresses, or wallets flagged as high-risk by our blockchain analytics tools. We may decline privacy enhancing coins or wrapped or bridged assets whose origin cannot be verified, where these prevent effective source of funds checks.
We are required by law and by our licence to know who our players are and to guard against money laundering and terrorism financing. By using the Service you agree to complete identity verification (KYC) and any related checks we reasonably request.
What KYC may involve. We may ask you to provide government issued identification, proof of address, proof of the source of your funds or wealth, and confirmation of ownership of the payment method or wallet used. We use third-party providers to help carry out these checks, which means those providers process the identification data you supply.
If you do not verify and/or you do not provide the requested documents, or we cannot sufficiently verify you, we may restrict your account, withhold or delay deposits or withdrawals, and, where required, close your account and report the matter. We are not liable for loss of access to funds caused by your failure to complete verification, though we will always allow you to withdraw verified, legitimate funds once verification is complete.
You confirm that the funds you deposit are your own, come from a legitimate source, and are not the proceeds of, and will not be used for, any criminal or unauthorised activity.
Minimum age and verification. You must be at least 18 years old (and old enough to gamble where you live). We verify age using methods such as government issued ID, date of birth checks and, where needed, payment verification. We will close any account we identify as belonging to a person under 18 and return legitimate deposited funds that are still in the account.
Deposit limits. You can set daily, weekly and monthly deposit limits. You can take a short break (a cooling-off period) of between 24 hours and 3 months. During a cooling-off period you cannot wager, but you can still withdraw your funds.
Self-exclusion. You can self-exclude for a period of between 12 months and up to a permanent (lifetime) exclusion. Self-exclusion applies across all brands operated under our licence, takes effect immediately, and for its minimum duration is irrevocable and cannot be lifted early. Once a self-exclusion ends, your account can only be reactivated following a formal request from you. We will not encourage or pressure you to reverse a cooling-off or self-exclusion.
Interventions. Where we identify signs of problem gambling, we may contact you, set limits, or apply a cooling-off or exclusion. We will never use these player protection measures to obstruct or delay a legitimate withdrawal.
Sometimes, connection issues and lag will happen. You may try to place a bet that does not get processed in time, whether because of a connection issue on your end or a problem with our servers. This may cost you a winning bet, but it may equally save you from a losing one.
While this can be frustrating, we cannot take on the liability of compensating for lost bets. We will do our best to prevent outages and will investigate complaints on a case-by-case basis, but we cannot promise compensation, because offering compensation for 'missed' wins could be exploited: those who lost due to lag would ask for a refund, while those who benefited would effectively gamble risk-free.
We cannot refund misclicks or accidental bets. We cannot tell whether a click was a genuine mistake, and if you won the bet you would not be refunding us either. We cannot offer risk-free gambling where you can win but not lose.
Where an event, bet or wager is cancelled, or where a bet is affected by a clear error for example an obvious odds or pricing error, a software bug, a live dealer mistake or an incorrect settlement, we may void or correct the affected bet and re-settle it correctly. Where a bet is voided, the stake is returned to your balance, where a bet was settled incorrectly, we may adjust your balance to the correct position. We will act reasonably and consistently, and you may raise any concern through our complaints procedure.
Traders are welcome to use CSGOEmpire. Depositing and withdrawing using our peer-to-peer marketplace without gambling is fine; traders boost the volume and liquidity of CS2 skins and help us make the service better.
However, there is one rule: we are not a financial institution and we do not hold the licences to act as a cryptocurrency exchange. For this reason, we do not allow you to trade cash and cryptocurrencies. Trades involving skins are fine.
These trading restrictions do not apply to genuine users who are either wagering their entire deposit or using their entire deposit to purchase skins on our marketplace. They apply only to those who use our platform as a currency exchange without genuinely using our core, licensed features. Users found using us as an exchange may have restrictions applied, such as losing crypto-withdrawal privileges and being able to withdraw skins only.
From time to time we offer bonuses and promotions. The full terms of each offer including any wagering requirements, expiry period, forfeiture conditions, withdrawal restrictions and whether bonus funds are cashable are set out in our Bonus/Promotional Terms or in the terms of the specific offer. You must accept the applicable bonus terms before taking part in a promotion.
We may withhold, cancel or reclaim a bonus, and any winnings derived from it, where a promotion is abused or its terms are breached. Any such action will be proportionate to the conduct concerned. Our marketing, advertising and bonuses are designed not to be misleading, not to encourage excessive gambling, and not to target vulnerable persons.
When creating an account, you can open a 'gift case', which will give you either 0.01 coins or 2050 coins.
If you win the jackpot, we will manually investigate your account, because a number of bots exploit this feature and we combat them by nullifying their wins. If your Steam account looks similar to a bot, we may revert the win. It is very unlikely, but there is a chance that a genuine winner could be judged to be an abuser and, for that reason, not receive the prize.
Affiliates earn commission based on the net revenue generated by referred users. Self-referral, and any practice that undermines the integrity of the program, is prohibited. We may modify the commission structure and program terms, and we may reclaim, modify or reassign any username or referral code at any time, usernames and referral codes are unique when created but you acquire no permanent right to them.
Affiliates must not advertise, promise or imply any false, misleading or unauthorised reward or benefit to attract users to their code (for example free spins, free money, deposit matching or guaranteed returns), whether or not they intend to honour it. Where an affiliate engages in conduct we consider misleading, dishonest or otherwise in breach of the program, or fails to honour a stated arrangement with users under their code, we may, acting proportionately, suspend or close the account, revoke the affiliate code, and withhold or forfeit commissions and earnings connected to that conduct.
We operate only the leaderboards shown on our own site. We do not endorse, operate or accept liability for any third-party leaderboard, competition or reward scheme, even where it references CSGOEmpire or uses a CSGOEmpire affiliate code. Any prize or reward a user believes they are owed under such a scheme is a matter between that user and the relevant operator.
Where a user who has abused the Affiliate Program then makes or circulates false or misleading public statements about us, we may disclose the minimum account-specific information reasonably required to correct the public record and protect our legitimate interests.
You must not engage in, encourage, or facilitate any seriously threatening, violent, or intimidating conduct toward CSGOEmpire or its owners, directors, officers, employees, contractors, agents, or other users. This applies whether the conduct takes place on the platform, through any communication channel, on social media or other public forums, or in person. Prohibited conduct includes, without limitation: i) threats of violence or serious harm; ii) stalking, or persistent harassment or intimidation; iii) publishing, sharing, or threatening to share the private personal information of any of the above persons (including their home address or private contact details); iv) attending or attempting to attend our premises, or the home or workplace of any of our people, without authorisation; v) blackmail, extortion, or any other unlawful conduct intended to harm, coerce, or intimidate.
This does not include complaints, criticism, negative reviews, or isolated rude remarks. It applies regardless of whether the conduct is directed through your own account or through any other person or account acting on your behalf.
Where we reasonably believe, based on credible evidence, that such conduct has occurred, we may take action proportionate to its seriousness. We may refuse or withdraw access to the Service, and suspend or permanently close your account. Where you are an affiliate, we may also terminate your participation in our affiliate programme and cease any future affiliate payments. We will not void legitimate winnings or withhold legitimately deposited balances under this clause. Any remaining balance will be returned to you, subject to our standard verification and withdrawal checks. We reserve the right to report the matter to law enforcement and to pursue any available legal remedy, including injunctive relief. These rights are in addition to, and do not limit, any other right or remedy available to us.
We respect your privacy. As a rule of thumb, we do not want to use your data against you, and we aim only to collect data that helps us offer you a better service. For example, we ask for your email address to send you relevant information and updates, not to spam you.
We are not perfect, and sometimes we may collect data that turns out to be unnecessary; some tools, such as Google Analytics, may collect more than we need. We want to be known as a fair company and will do our best to respect your privacy. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
We will never sell your data. We will not share your personal data with other entities unless necessary for our core operations or for legal reasons, and we do our best not to share data that is not necessary. Examples: we use Intercom for support tickets (some data, such as your Steam ID and bet amounts, is shared so agents can assist you); we use Google Analytics for metrics; and we use screening tools such as SEON for risk analysis to prevent fraudulent payments and abuse.
On rare occasions we are required to share data with government authorities, law enforcement or our regulator for example in response to a valid legal request or as part of our AML obligations. Where the law allows, we will only share the minimum necessary.
Your identification documents are handled through third-party tools, which means those providers process your KYC data. The current providers are listed in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for securing your login credentials. We will not be liable for lost accounts, the funds within them, or other resulting damage if you knowingly or unknowingly give a third party your login credentials, including where you fall victim to social engineering or phishing.
If your account has no login activity for a continuous period of six (6) years, it will be classified as dormant. Before taking any action on a dormant account, we will attempt to contact you at your registered email address. We may then reclaim any remaining balance and may close or delete the account. Any dormancy fee will be fair, proportionate and disclosed in advance. This does not remove your right to claim legitimate funds, subject to applicable law.
Below this line, most of the information will be not-so-interesting. Below will be the tedious information that our lawyers, partners, third-party payment processors, licensors, and other bureaucratic entities wanted to include.
